Our Team
Rik Arellano is a Los Angeles native and U.S. Navy Veteran, currently assigned to represent SELACO WDB in the cities of Artesia and Norwalk. Rik has been a member of the Business Services team since 2024 and is driven by the fulfillment that comes from connecting businesses and job seekers to the resources and services that strengthen economic and workforce development within the community. In his free time, he enjoys keeping up with the latest scientific advancements and exploring the innovative gadgets that come with them.
Frances Godina grew up in Los Angeles and has had the privilege of working with the SELACO WDB since 2024. Frances proudly serves the cities of Cerritos and Hawaiian Gardens, where she is committed to supporting individuals and businesses within the community. Outside of work, Frances is deeply passionate about mentoring. She enjoys using her educational background and life experience to guide individuals as they work toward achieving their personal and professional goals. One of the most fulfilling aspects of her role is the opportunity to meet new individuals and connect with business partners.
Stella Portillo is based in Santa Ana, covering the Lakewood area. Stella has been with SELACO WDB since 2025. Outside of work, Stella is a proud mom, grandma, and full-time florist, which keeps her creative and connected to her community. Stella’s favorite part of the job is helping businesses grow by providing our services and supporting participants with job placements that lead to long-term employment at well-established companies in the near future.
Brian Arredondo is a Long Beach resident who is currently assigned to the City of Paramount and has been part of SELACO WDB since 2025. He is passionate about uplifting his community by connecting local residents with local businesses, creating mutually beneficial opportunities that strengthen the local economy. Through his work, Brian strives to build meaningful partnerships that support workforce development and economic growth. In his free time, Brian enjoys football and is a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, with a longstanding dream of watching his team play at Lambeau Field one day.
Genaro “Geo” Nieto is a dedicated Business Engagement Specialist with SELACO WDB, where he has proudly served since 2022. In his role, he focuses on supporting businesses within the cities of Bellflower and Downey, building strong relationships with local employers, and connecting them to valuable workforce resources. His favorite part of the job is working directly with employers to understand their unique needs and providing tailored solutions that help them grow, retain talent, and ultimately avoid closures. He takes pride in being a reliable partner to the business community and contributing to the economic stability of the region. Outside of work, Geo enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing. Whether it’s casting a line or exploring nature, he values the balance that outdoor activities bring.
